Scrapbook Brads
Simple Scrapbooking Mom Devoted to Your Success
Let's talk a little bit about scrapbook brads. They are like a push pin with ends you fold over to secure it to the paper. Scrapbook brads come in a large variety of shapes, colors and sizes. The heads of scrapbook brads can be stars, dots, butterflies or even letters. Scrapbook brads are very easy to use and are great for holding title boxes or tags to your paper. Scrapbook brads can also be used as the center of flowers.
Let me show you how to use Scrapbook brads.

-
Punch a hole in your paper where you want the scrapbook brad. Do not put a hole in your scrapbook page, only the paper placed on the page. If you poke a hole in the scrapbook page the prongs on the back will show through the backside. When you create the backside page you will have scrapbook brad prongs to cover up.
- Make the hole just big enough to fit the prongs of the scrapbook brad through. You can use a scissors/ paper piercer or the same hole punch used for scrapbook eyelets. (If you are unfamiliar with the eyelet hole punch please check out the scrapbook eyelet page.) Make sure you don't make the hole larger than the head of the scrapbook brad. If you do, the scrapbook brad will slip through the paper.
