First Easter Layout Ideas

These two pages are of my daughters First Easter.  I started with a scrapbook kit from ScrapJazz.  Shop where I shop... The Scrapjazz.com Megastore.  It is titled Almost Done  Girl.  It is from Hot of the Press.  It has some great embellishments included in the kit and it was fun and simple to put together.  I hope you will enjoy making it as much as I did.  If you want some pages that are quick and easy, this is the way to go.

 Difficulty:  Simple scrapbook layout

Time to Completion:  <1 hr.

Supplies Needed:  3 photos, adhesive, paper trimmer

Step 1 :  Page 1

Take the 2 yellow papers with the pink bottoms.  One has a little smaller pink bottom than the other.  Use this one for the first page.  This was the first mistake I made when I made these pages.  I didn't realize the 2 papers weren't the same and of course I used the wrong one.

Step 2

Take the pale yellow and pink paper with the same pattern as the pink bottom  and use them to back 2 of your photos.  Stick them individually on the yellow paper and then mount them together on the pink.  In otherwords place them just as you would like them when finished and don't cut them apart.  Stick this to the base page, centered on the paper.

Step 3

Find the letter squares that say my girl.  Find the long strip of grossgrain ribbon and a grossgrain bow.  Take the grossgrain ribbon and stick it 3 1/2 in. from the left edge in the pink bottom section.   Next, put the my girl letters on top of it,  make sure to First easter layout ideas with grossgrain ribbon letters my girlleave  1/2 in. at the beginning.  Then space the letters however you would like.  Take the bow and stick it to the left edge of the ribbon with the letters on it.

Step 4

Find the castle sticker, circle sticker, and 2 grossgrain bows and 2 organza bows.  Place 2 organza and 1 grossgrain bow on the upper left edge of the photo matte.  Alternate organza bow with grossgrain bow.  Stick the castle sticker on the lower left corner of the photo matte.  Stick the circle sticker on the lower right corner of the matte.  Place a grossgrain bow on the top of the circle sticker.  I placed my daughters age on this sticker.

That's it your finished with the first page.

Additions to the page:  The picture at the top of the page on the right is the one with these additions.  I put an easter egg sticker border above the bottom pink border.  I added some punched fancy squares with letters across the top.  I turned the page into an Easter theme rather than just baby.  You can do either.  The letters are Tag Type from EK Success and placed in the raised circles that coordinate with the letters.  The fancy punch is from Creative Memories.

Step 1 :  Page 2

Take the yellow paper with the larger pink bottom and turn it so the pink edge is to the right.  Find the 3 rectangular large stickers with a heart, crown and star.  Center them and stick them in the pink border.

Step 2

Find the pale pink paper and the pale yellow paper.  Use these to matte your last picture.  The yellow first and then the pink.  You can make the mattes as big as you like.  I did the pink matte about twice as big as the yellow.

Step 3

Stick down your matted photo.  Place the two pages side by side and stick the matted photo at the same height as the one on the first page.  I moved it over a little to the left so Ifirst easter layout organza and grossgrain ribbon could add a box with my daughters name.  You can do what you like.  Find the stickers with princess, sweetheart, super star, circle and small heart.  Find 3 organza bows.  You will stick these on the matted photo.  Place the circle on the upper right corner.  I put the date of the photos on this.  Put the princess, sweetheart and small heart stickers on the left edge of the matte.  Center them, leaving space to the left of the word stickers for a bow.  I put the princess sticker first, then the square heart and then sweetheart.   Place the super star sticker on the lower right corner of the matte and place a bow on the right edge.

Step 4

Find the small star and crown stickers.  Take out the pale pink paper.  Cut out a rectangle for journaling, approximately 1 1/2 in. by 6 in.  Center the box on the page and stick it down.  Add the star sticker to the left of the box covering the edge of the box.  Add the crown sticker to the right covering the edge of the box.

That's it for the second page.  Congratulations.  You've made two fantastic pages.

Additions to the page:  The picture to the right, is the one easter layout with additions tag type letters and easter border stickerswith these additions.   I added the fancy square punches and the tag type letters again to finish the title, "First Easter".  I added the easter egg border along the right edge of the pink border.  I placed a rectangular box to the right of the photo.  It is cut out of the paper that matches the pink border on the page.  It is approximately 1 1/4 in. by 5 1/2 in.  I put pink brads in the corners.  I placed letter stickers in the box with my daughters name on.
